ABOUT BOZEEB KENNELS

Hello, my name is Julie Jordan. I live with my dog pack and partner in Moe which is situated in the Latrobe Valley in the state of Victoria, Australia.

-Grandmother "Chyna" (Bozeeb Mystic Belle)
-Mother "Tessa" (Bozeeb Tessabelle) and her pups.

BOZEEB KENNELS was established in 1985. “BO” is the Norwegian word for beautiful and is the pet name of our first German Shepherd. “ZEEB” is the Hebrew word for wolf and thus the name translates to beautiful wolf. At the time, there was no conscious effort to create a name with meaning………it just happened that way…..perhaps not by mere coincidence!

My involvement with German Shepherds commenced earlier in August of 1983 when ten-week old Bo (Lowliet King Cass) became part of our family. He matured into a very large (70cm) dark, wolf-grey sable with impeccable character. In temperament he became the bench-mark for all Bozeeb German Shepherds. Between 1984-1987 I successfully participated in obedience and Schutzhund work with Bo. He had several litters to a number of different bitches, but we did not keep or breed with his offspring.

In 1989 the Bozeeb show line commenced with the purchase of an eight-week old puppy, “TESS” Tainuis Foxy’s Forte (Tainuis Triumph x Stobar Lassos Foxylady). She was unfortunately over-size (62 cm) and could not be Breed Surveyed. She was mated to Excellent Select dog CH. Dorsten Monte Cito and produced our much adored “FOXY” Bozeeb Foxy Lady A-Z Class 1. CD. Graded Multi-Excellent.
So it was left to Foxy to fly the Bozeeb flag. She had a very successful show career under specialist judges. An excellent brood bitch with commendable outgoing temperament, she produced two Breed Surveyed Class 1 animals and three Breed Surveyed Class 2.

In 1999, we kept a daughter from her first Stobar Peete litter, “CHYNA” Bozeeb Mystic Belle A-Z Class 2. CD. Graded Multi-Excellent. She is Class 2 because of her 61 cm height at wither. She produced one Breed Surveyed, Class 1 bitch, “RISKY” Bozeeb Rather Risque who is owned by Trish Boerlage of Rozenbelle kennels. She, in turn, has a Class 1 daughter “ABBEY” Rozenbelle Tiny Dancer (Lafer Von Batu x Bozeeb Rather Risque). Chyna also produced CH. Bozeeb Tessabelle Class 2. A-Z. CCD. "Tessa" when mated to Lux von Satyr (IMP GMY).

Another “FOXY” line continues with a daughter “NAALA” Bozeeb Little Fox A-Z Class 1. CD. (CH. Iniff Vagrant x Bozeeb Foxy Lady) who, when mated to Zandrac Perfect Crime, gave Jyaura Basic Instinct “MISHKAH” A-Z Class 1. She is owned by Cheryle and Alan Walker of Jyaura kennels who reside in Queensland.

From our Chyna litter to Lux Von Satyr (IMP GMY) whelped on 24th of August 2007, we retained CH. Bozeeb Tessabelle “TESSA” Class 2. A-Z. CCD.

On May 13th 2010 Tessa gave birth to a lovely litter of seven from Netherlands import Fellow Von Santamar (4 girls/3 boys). From this litter we have kept a male and a female (Bozeeb Ultra Wolf "Wolfie" and Bozeeb Ultrafox "Ginja". For more information go to the Bozeeb Family webpage and click on either Wolfie or Ginja.

Our objective is to breed animals with intelligence and trainability as well as show quality. Correct construction is crucial for the working and obedience dog and sound temperament and intelligence is an indispensable asset for the show dog.

We believe the secret of raising a healthy pup depends on correct diet and adequate socialization. Feeding and environmental factors play a major part in establishing mental and physical soundness. Therefore, much attention is given to the requirements of each stage of development form birth through to eight weeks of age and onwards to make certain the physical, spiritual and psychological needs are fully met.

Bozeeb pups are raised solely on a natural ALL RAW (BARF – Bones and Raw Food) diet based on what the pup would have eaten in the wild. We have bred over 100 pups and, over a period of time, have discovered this is the diet that works best.

Currently, we have dogs placed in the Victorian Police Dog Squad. Still others are excellent family pets and companion dogs and quite a number have obedience titles. Through Bozeeb Jacqueline Class2. Graded excellent A-Z. CD. “ZENA” (Full sister to our “JACKO” CH. Bozeeb Jacko Hearts A-Z Class 1. CD. ET. Graded Multi-Excellent) the Victorian Police Dog Squad have utilized the Bozeeb bloodlines in their breeding program. Also, “JACKO” has a son in the New South Wales Police Dog Squad from his 2005 litter to “KAYLA” CH. Dontrix Ethans Litlhotti A-Z. IMP.NZ. (Owned by Jencol Kennels).

On 26th of August 2013 Ginja had her first litter and produced a lovely litter of 6 (2 males x 4 females) pups with great temperaments, dark eyes, beautiful rich colors and strong bone. From this litter we kept Bozeeb Vanilla Brandy which was named Xena by my daughter Jenny.
